Drones are the Next Step in Conservation

In their early phase, drones had the ominous reputation of militant tool. Today, these devices are finding uses all over the globe, and many of them are useful. I was very interested when I read this article by Suzie Boss about the use of drones for conservation. Many countries, particularly  are using them to protect species whose existence on this planet is at risk. In India they’re using it to protect tigers from poachers, in Belize they’re tracking illegal fisherman, and in the rainforest they’re monitoring plant health.
